In this workshop, participants were able to learn about circuits and breadboards by creating their own battery-powered phone charger.
Participants learned how a circuit works and learned about several different electrical components, like resistors, and what they do.
We started the workshop off with some simple circuits on breadboards. The participants really enjoyed working with the breadboards and demonstrated an understanding of how electricity flows through them and an appreciation for the value of prototyping!
Everybody had a great time. I was really excited that no one seemed frustrated or overwhelmed, even though the final circuit was rather complex. Most participants seemed to feel comfortable with explaining their projects and were able to trace the paths that electricity was following!
